Focusing on Equality, Pride, and Unity at the 2017 Equality Breakfast

2017 Equality Breakfast of LGBT Democrats of Virginia

The lead up to the LGBT Democrats of Virginia Equality Breakfast always adds a little more stress to the usual routine. As Vice-Chair of Technology and Communications for the organization, I’m responsible for online ticket sales, creatively prodding those on our email list to purchase tickets, promoting the event on social media, and working with anyone who may have an issue purchasing tickets. All the work was worth it as the result was a room full of people celebrating and advancing equality, pride, and unity. Through Comit Strategies, I was proud to sponsor the event.

A Redesigned Logo

This was the first year we used Gravity Forms for online ticket sales. We used CiviCRM for ticket sales, but we stopped using it late last year. I was happy with how everything worked, but know we can tweak a bit to make tracking tickets a bit easier on us. I also redesigned the logo for the event this year, 100% vector so there would be no loss of quality no matter how we use it. The new event logo also contains the new logo for the organization, so it kills two birds with one stone.

Equality Breakfast Logo Shift

We were honored to be joined at the breakfast by Senator Tim Kaine, Congressman Donald McEachin (a fantastic client of mine), Lt. Governor and Democratic Nominee for Governor Ralph Northam, and Democratic Nominee for Lt. Governor Justin Fairfax.
